The Colorado Buffaloes are once again getting roasted online for looking like a Pop Warner team

The Colorado Buffaloes are once again getting roasted online for looking like a Pop Warner team

It’s been a while since I talked about the Colorado Buffaloes football team — their spring game, to be exact.

College football had been gone for three months at that point and every Power 4 program’s spring game was basically like an oasis in a desert when it came to the cravings of the fans.

At that time, the Buffs were making headlines for the physical makeup of their team, and since no one else had anything to talk about, the mighty mites of Boulder got the microscope put squarely on them.

OKLAHOMA SOONERS QUARTERBACK JOHN MATEER LOOKS ABSOLUTELY JACKED JUST IN TIME FOR FALL CAMP

Folks on the internet picked Colorado apart for their lack of size, comparing them to a high school football team.

Now, summer workouts have concluded and fall camp is in full session, so let’s check in on the Buffaloes and see what they’ve been doing in the weight room all offseason.

Surely Coach Prime had his guys in the lab getting jacked all summer long, right?

Hmm, that’s weird. Why would the Colorado football official X account post a video of a local Denver-area Pop Warner team running passing drills?

MICHIGAN STATE’S SPRING GAME SHENANIGANS ARE A CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY

Oh, wait, I’ve just received an urgent update that says this is, in fact, the actual Colorado Buffaloes football team practicing for the 2026 season.

How awkward.

What exactly does the strength and conditioning coach do at Colorado, anyway?

It’s not just me being a jerk, either.

The comments section under the post is filled with people who are questioning why a Power 4 football team looks like a solid 6A high school program from Texas.

I was only half kidding when I questioned why the Colorado account was posting Pop Warner clips, too.

When I scrolled past this initially, all I saw was the size of the players and the field they were playing on, so I had to do a legitimate triple take to make sure what I was seeing was accurate.

For crying out loud, even the ref in the background looks like a high school student they got as a volunteer for a summer job.

Speaking of the Colorado X account, I feel bad for the social media admin in charge of posting this.

You know that young man or woman was thinking, “This is going to get us torched online.”

And, you know what? They were absolutely right.

From everything I could find, the Buffs are projected to finish at or near the bottom of the Big 12, and without knowing too much about what the team has returning aside from former five-star signal caller Julian Lewis, I can see why.

Coach Prime better hope his players are as fast as he was when he played college football, because they certainly aren’t overpowering any of their opponents this season.
