The Holosun 507C-X3 – Introduction of the X Series

The 507C platform has long been one of Holosun’s most widely adopted pistol optics. It is trusted by concealed carriers, duty users, and shooters who value durability and proven performance. Now Holosun has moved to evolve this popular optic with a new X series. The newest offering is the 507C-X3.

The Holosun 507C-X3 – Improving Performance

The 507C-X3 continues to offer Holosun’s popular Multi-Reticle System. This system allows shooters to select a 2 MOA dot, a 32 MOA circle, or the combined circle-dot for broader versatility. That flexibility helps tailor the optic to specialized roles. For example, you get precision on demand with the dot alone, or enhanced speed and visibility under recoil with the circle-dot.

Durability and footprint compatibility remain central to this optic. It is constructed from 7075-T6 aluminum. The X3 housing is designed for repeated slide cycling and environmental exposure. The familiar 0.91 × 0.67-inch window returns, providing shooters with a stable viewing area. As a result, this strikes a balance between precision and situational awareness. The optic mounts using the RMR-style footprint. Therefore, it is compatible with a broad range of pistols and duty holsters without modification. Holosun’s Solar Failsafe system also remains part of the 507C-X3 architecture. This ensures continued operation even when the battery is depleted.

Power Management

Power management has been refined for real-world reliability. A side-loading CR1632 battery drives both optics. This battery supports up to 50,000 hours of runtime depending on brightness settings and reticle choice. Holosun’s Shake Awake technology and reticle memory ensure the sight activates and resumes its last setting when movement is detected. This is an essential feature for concealed carry and duty use where readiness is important. The inclusion of a forward-facing photodiode helps maintain proper reticle brightness during transitions. For example, it is effective when moving between shadowed areas, bright daylight, or mixed indoor lighting.

The 507C-X3 represents a streamlined modernization of one of Holosun’s most trusted optics. It retains the familiarity and reliability that made the series a mainstay. At the same time, it incorporates subtle yet meaningful updates that enhance daily use, optical consistency, and shooter confidence across various environments.
