When we discuss revolvers, one name always comes up. That name is Smith & Wesson. They have produced some of the finest revolvers in the industry. While they have an extensive catalog, one model in particular caught my eye. The Smith & Wesson Specs Series R.

Smith & Wesson Spec Series R Model 686 – Package

The Specs Series R. This model perfectly blends classic aesthetics with modern enhancements. Built on the robust Model 686 L-Frame, this 7-shot revolver is chambered in .357 Magnum/.38 Special +P and weighs 42.4 ounces. Its 4.13-inch stainless-steel barrel features a Power-Port at the end, reducing felt recoil for quicker target acquisition.

Out of the box, it comes equipped with an extended Performance Center cylinder release, an Aimpoint ACRO P-2 Red Dot Reflex Sight mounted on a custom base for an exceptional sight picture, and both a red ramp front sight and adjustable rear sight.
