CZ Launches DUTY Series of Modular Striker-Fired 9mm Pistols

Gun Digest reports that CZ has launched the DUTY series, striker-fired 9mm pistols built around a serialized modular chassis, starting with four models.

Key points

• Models: The 4.0 C, 4.0 C MS, 4.0 F and 4.0 F MS. "MS" means a manual safety, and C and F differ in grip size.
• Capacity: All have 4-inch barrels. C models take flush-fit 15-round magazines and F models take 17-round magazines. Optional base plates add two rounds.
• Modularity: The chassis is the serialized part and swaps between grip modules, which come in three sizes.
• Optics: Included pins allow direct mounting of RMR, RMSc, Holosun K or DPP footprint red dots. An adaptor plate covers other optics.
• Durability and price: CZ guarantees a 50,000-round service life with standard 9mm and 25,000 rounds with overpressure ammunition. MSRP is $729 for every model.

Quick take

Gun Digest says the DUTY does nothing earth-shattering, but it sees a solid blend of modern features and a very good new defensive pistol option.
