After Suspending Weapons Shipments to Ukraine, Trump Pivots AGAIN

Donald Trump is now promising to send more weapons to Ukraine after shipments were stopped last week, citing a decline in the United States’ stockpile of weaponry. The public is continuing to get whiplash from this administration as it once again pivots on its own decisions.

“We’re going to send some more weapons. We have to. They have to be able to defend themselves. They’re getting hit very hard now,” Trump told reporters during a dinner with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He was speaking of sending weapons to Ukraine to continue to prop up a war the world already knows is impossible for Kiev to come out on top of.

U.S. Suspends Military Aid To Kiev

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered a pause in deliveries last week, citing concerns about dwindling U.S. stockpiles, according to a report by RT. “This decision was made to put America’s interests first following a DOD review of our nation’s military support and assistance to other countries across the globe,” White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly told the media at the time.

It’s impossible to know where the current ruling class stands on issues such as war, considering they can’t even make up their minds as to whether or not they will continue to send weapons to a country that’s surely going to lose unless Western interests, including NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) get involved.

Shortly after Trump’s remarks, Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell confirmed that the US will send “additional defensive weapons to Ukraine.” He added that the review of military shipments worldwide “remains in effect and is integral to our America First defense priorities.” Parnell also said that the agency was reviewing all munitions shipments, not just those to Ukraine. “We can’t give weapons to everybody all around the world,” he said last Wednesday.

But it sure seems like the U.S. is trying to do that and propping up wars as they arise.
