IWI ARAD 5 Launches in U.S. from Tennessee Facility

IWI US has officially announced the launch of the ARAD 5 for the American market, produced at the company’s expanded domestic operations in Andersonville, TN.

The ARAD 5 was developed in direct response to a request from Israel’s Tier 1 military and law enforcement units. After extensive service on the global stage, the rifle is now being brought stateside.

The Rifle

The ARAD 5 is built around a semi-monolithic upper receiver featuring IWI’s patented CamLok barrel lock-up mechanism, which secures a free-floated barrel assembly and a two-position short-stroke piston gas system. The rifle is designed for both suppressed and unsuppressed use. The upper mates to a standard lower, keeping fire controls exactly where any M4-pattern rifle user would expect them.

“The IWI US ARAD 5 isn’t just another M4-style rifle—it is yet another example of our commitment to those who demand more from their gear,” said Jeremy Gresham, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at IWI US.

IWI US is a subsidiary of Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) Ltd., the company behind the TAVOR, UZI, and GALIL platforms. More information is available at www.iwi.us.
