Biden Speak: Proof That A Lie Told Often Enough Still Doesn’t Make It The Truth

Joe Biden

While there are very few things to admire about President Joe Biden, his persistence—especially when it comes to schemes that would cripple and hurt gun owners, gun makers and gun sellers—is nothing short of impressive. In fact, if it were directed toward proposals that would actually help curb the country’s violent crime problem, it would be downright admirable.

Instead, it’s the same old thing, over and over, regurgitated at public appearances where the audience can’t even tell if ol’ Joe even knows whether he’s talking about guns or gorillas. And it’s sprinkled with many of the same old lies Biden has been spouting since his vice presidential days.

During a weirdly timed speech given the same day his son, Hunter, was convicted of three felony gun charges, Biden told a handful of whoppers that that a few are worth revisiting. Unlike the so-called “mainstream” media that lets him say whatever he wants, whether true or not, we feel like he should be held at least somewhat accountable for his words.

First was yet another chapter in Biden’s ongoing assault against lawful firearms manufacturers—the very companies without which we couldn’t practice our Second Amendment rights.

“By the way, this is the most important: The only industry in America that has immunity are gun dealers,” Biden said once again during the address. “We got to end it, end it now. No, I mean it.”

Of course, he’s talking about repealing the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), passed in 2005 in response to big cities trying to sue gunmakers out of business in a “death by 1,000 cuts.”

When Biden says repealing PLCAA is a priority of his is it is one of the rare true statements to come out of his mouth.

“If I get one thing on my list, if the Lord came down and said, ‘Joe, you get one of these,’ give me that one,” Biden said of repealing the PLCAA in an April 2021 Rose Garden ceremony. “Because I tell you what, there would be a come-to-the-Lord moment these folks would have, real quickly.”

Why the mainstream media won’t tell the truth about PLCAA is anyone’s guess, but we will set the record straight—again. Unlike what Biden and other gun-ban advocates repeatedly state, however, both gun manufacturers and dealers can still be held liable for damages resulting from defective products, breach of contract, criminal misconduct and other actions for which they are directly responsible. PLCAA simply keeps them from being sued for criminal use of a legally made, lawfully marketed product.

That brings us to the other frequent big lie Biden smugly tells nearly every time he steps up to a microphone and that we can’t simply overlook—the infamous you-couldn’t-own-a-cannon boast.

“There’s never been a time that says you can own anything you want— never,” Biden smirked. “You couldn’t own a cannon during the Civil War.”

As the professor from the movie The Waterboy would say, “Well folks, Mama’s wrong again.”

The truth is ordinary citizens could and did buy cannons during the Civil War era. In fact, many own cannons today. For Biden to tell the lie over and over, and the mainstream media to let him get away with it again and again, is not only ridiculous but insulting to every single American, whether they be Republican, Libertarian, Independent or even Democratic, because Americans deserve more than repeated lies from their leaders.
