The Thompson TAO50 in .50 BMG, manufactured by Auto-Ordnance, is not just a rifle; it’s a tool for dominance over the opposition. Their patent-pending roller bearing bolt and muzzle brake designs, coupled with a rugged black or Flat Dark Earth anodized finish, ensure durability and perfect performance.
With a precision 29” barrel boasting a 1:15 twist rate and a high-efficiency muzzle brake, the TAO50 delivers unmatched accuracy and recoil management. Barrel muzzle end threads are 1”-14. The Barrett M107 muzzle brake or suppressor should not be used on the TAO50, as it is not rated for bolt-action rifles. However, other suppressor manufacturers such as Innovative Arms, Elite Iron, B&T, and HUXWRX utilize 1”-14 threads. Note that recoil will increase when not using the TAO50 muzzle brake.

The TAO50 is now available in a .416 Barrett model. For the .50 BMG model, two stock options are offered. The fixed stock TAO50 comes with a Magpul PRS Gen 3 stock, MOE+ grip, and Timney AR-style trigger, providing unparalleled comfort, control, and ease of shooting.
