The New TREMOR9 Reticle – From Horus Vision

The Tremor reticle series, developed by Horus Vision, originated from a focus on increasing first-round hit probability under challenging conditions. This was driven by instructor Todd Hodnett. The Tremor 3 (TReMoR3) became a cornerstone of long-range shooting and was adopted by USSOCOM for its rapid windage/elevation holdovers, wind dots, and “Christmas tree” grid. Today, Horus Vision has announced the release of the TREMOR9 Reticle. Importantly, this latest evolution in the combat-proven TREMOR series is engineered for shooters who demand the ease of use of patented wind dots paired with an exceptionally open sight picture for maximum situational awareness.

The New TREMOR9 Reticle – Enhanced Precision

The NEW TREMOR9 reticle is now available in the HoVR 5-20x50mm Riflescope and in the free Horus Ballistics App. As a result, it offers a fast and accurate data-driven firing solution.

Designed to function as a complete system, the TREMOR9 works in tandem with the Horus Ballistics App. The app calculates the precise firing solution. The shooter then instantly applies it using the reticle’s MRAD calibrated grid and patented time of flight wind dots—eliminating the need to dial turrets. The patented wind dots allow users to call wind in their preferred units (MPH, KPH, etc.). This eliminates the need for complex calculations between shots.

Optimized for Rapid Target Acquisition

Building on the legacy of the USSOCOM-selected TREMOR3, the TREMOR9 offers a refined user experience designed for speed and ease of use. The system retains the legendary Horus Wind Dot technology, allowing shooters to intuitively hold for wind speed. This eliminates the need for additional wind hold calculations. The TREMOR9 features a streamlined design, opening up the shooter’s field of view for faster target acquisition and easier impact spotting. At the same time, it maintains the essential data required for long-range precision.

Universal Compatibility

As a true “reticle companion,” the TREMOR9 is designed to function seamlessly alongside spotters or teammates using the TREMOR4 spotting scope reticle. This ensures effective communication across the team. The power of the TREMOR9 is unlocked when paired with the free Horus Ballistics App, creating a workflow that closes the gap between data and impact.

Workflow

Users generate a firing solution in the app (utilizing Bluetooth-connected rangefinders and weather meters). The app displays the exact hold, which corresponds perfectly to the TREMOR9 grid in the scope. For those new to the system, a dedicated TREMOR9 tutorial is now available within the app. It walks users through the functionality of the Wind Dots and grid system.

Virtual Test Drive

Shooters can visualize how the open sight picture of the TREMOR9 performs against real-world backgrounds within the app before heading to the range. The HoVR 5-20x50mm Riflescope equipped with the TREMOR9 reticle is available now for purchase at www.horusvision.com. Furthermore, the Horus Ballistics App is available for free download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
