SK Customs Julius Caesar Chronicles a Legendary Conqueror

Few historical figures maintain the notoriety of Julius Caesar. A skilled commander and politician, his military strategies are still studied today. For this reason, SK Customs adds Julius Caesar to its Conqueror Series of custom 1911 pistols. Built on another legend—the Colt 1911—the Julius Caesar will only have a run of 200 pieces. So, you want to get while the getting is good.

Chambered in .38 Super, the Conqueror Series is built on the legendary Colt 1911 Government model. Fittingly, the canvas is comprised of a frame and slide with a deep Colt Royal Blue finish. As a result, the 24K gold plating in the artwork stands out from the pistol with incredible contrast and appeal.

Further highlighting the gold-plated artwork are the 24K gold controls, bushing, pins, and screws. Providing the interface are beautifully polished, engraved, presentation black Kirinite grips. On one side is the engraved logo of the Conquerors Series surrounded by intricate scrollwork. Likewise, the obverse features an engraving of Julius Caesar, also encased in scrollwork.

The right side of the slide exhibits Caesar crossing the Rubicon in January 49 BC, sparking the Great Roman Civil War. Behind the scene is an ancient map with subtle, intricate scrollwork at either end. Framing in the scene is a mosaic of the Greek Key.

On the left side is a depiction of the conquest of Gaul, also known as the Gallic Wars. Like the right side, the scene sits atop an ancient map of the area with subtle, intricate scrollwork bookends. Also mirroring the right side is a Greek Key mosaic frame, surrounding the depiction.

The top features the Temple of Divus Julius (Temple of Caesar) sitting just forward of the rear sight. Likewise, between the ejection port and front sight is a depiction of Julius Caesar in his prime. Each likeness is framed in with a Greek Key mosaic and scrollwork.

Finally, the rear of each side of the slide, behind the serrations, features scrollwork framed by the Greek Key mosaic. The right side also includes a box in the lower quadrant with the serial number, XXX of 200.

According to SK Customs

“Caesar was a Roman general, politician and writer whose conquests changed the history of the ancient world. He moved his armies quickly, built bridges, forts and siege works, and used discipline to defeat larger forces,” said Simon Khiabani, owner and founder of SK Guns. “His conquest made him legendary, but it also helped bring the Roman Republic to an end and reshaped Europe for centuries after.”
