RCBS Reloading Hub — A Wealth Of Information

Since 1943, RCBS has been the reloading industry’s trusty old steed. RCBS has been reliable, innovative and always there to make sure you’re properly equipped–whether you’re a wide-eyed newbie or a grizzled veteran that has loaded over a million rounds.

Get ready for that rush you felt when you bought your first gun and blasted away a whole box of ammo, because RCBS just cranked up the excitement with the launch of its Reloading Hub!

The RCBS Reloading Hub basically boils down to a digital goldmine of articles, pictures, videos and even a “Reloading 101” section that demystifies the art of metallic cartridge handloading.

Remember the good old days before the internet, when learning meant flipping through a manual with tiny, often blurry, black-and-white diagrams? Well, RCBS just gave you that life-saving information, but better, and for the low, low price of absolutely free! Yes, I said free. Your wallet can stop hyperventilating.

Reloading Articles: Saving Your Sanity, One Photo at a Time

Reloading Hub is packed with an ever-growing library of articles. We’re talking about everything from setting up your dies (a process that can test the patience of a saint) to breaking down the costs of getting started. The Hub even  delves into the sacred importance of powder scales.

Honestly, I found myself sucked in. It’s not just because those articles are well-written, but they’re also equipped with highly detailed photos that make you want to re-read them just to appreciate their visual clarity. If you’ve ever set up a reloading press for the first time, you know it’s a marathon of tiny tweaks and muttered curses as you try to get everything just right. You have to deal with critical details like proper brass feeding, primer seating, powder drops and bullet seating.

RCBS’s articles won’t just save you time; they’ll save you a lot of “choice words” you might otherwise utter when you accidentally over-seat a bullet or short-drop powder. We just want to keep pulling the handle and rolling our own without interruptions, right?

Reloading Videos: Because Sometimes You Just Need to See It

As a humble purveyor of photos and videos myself, I have to hand it to RCBS: they’ve created movie-quality videos. Seriously, the production value is top-notch, and the information is equally brilliant.

There’s one video in particular that every reloader, new or old, should probably watch: “Intro to Handloading: My Sizing Die Does Not Work.” Because let’s be real, almost every reloader, even those who read the instructions (mostly), has at some point loaded a batch of ammunition only to discover it won’t chamber in their beloved blaster.

Had I watched these videos when I first started, I would have saved myself countless headaches, frustrations, and probably a few gray hairs.

Reloading 101: From “Flash Hole” to “Aha!”

The Reloading Hub’s Reloading 101 section is pure gold too. It offers a step-by-step guide for your very first reload, breaking down all the components involved and even defining the often-confusing vocabulary of the reloading world.

I remember learning how to reload by deciphering grainy, often black-and-white photos in manuals, desperately trying to avoid rookie mistakes. To go back in time and have access to these high-quality, step-by-step photos for every single part of the process would have saved me untold hours of frustration as I learned to full-length size a casing, adequately set up a decapping die, bell a case, seat a primer, drop powder, and finally, seat a bullet.

And that vocabulary section? Absolute genius. I’m not sure about you, but the first time someone told me to look for a “flash hole,” I legitimately wondered if it was some kind of elaborate dirty joke, or akin to asking for blinker fluid. Thanks to the Reloading Hub, I would’ve quickly put my mind at ease and avoided spending an embarrassing amount of time pondering its true meaning.

A One-Stop Shop: Innovation That Doesn’t Cost an Arm and a Leg

RCBS continues to be a true innovator in the reloading sphere. The fact that the RCBS Reloading Hub is a completely free resource in today’s world of micro transactions and endless subscription models is genuinely remarkable. Honestly, it wouldn’t have been surprising at all if they charged a monthly fee or an annual subscription for this wealth of information.
