First Look: Nextorch TA30D Max Flashlight

Nextorch recently launched the new TA30D Max, a 4,000-lumen-capable tactical flashlight. This duty-grade light was designed from the ground up to serve tactical professionals in need of long-distance illumination and operational responsiveness. The light can help you in a tactical situation and is versatile enough to illuminate and scan wide areas in order to assist in perimeter defense and be used for long-range threat detection.

The Nextorch TA30D Max comes with a user-friendly finger ring and a one-step strobe set up. All it takes to deploy its powerful and disorienting strobe function is a quick tap of the tail button. In addition, a half-press will activate the Nextorch’s TA30D Max high-output mode. The TA30D Max is also equipped with a rotary mode selector that allows the user to cycle between this tactical flashlight’s different lighting modes and functionality.

As a high-intensity tactical light, the Nextorch TA30D Max can be prone to excessive heat build up, no different than any other tactical light in the same category. To account for this, the Nextorch engineering team included what it refers to as the UTB (ultra thermal buffer). This system not only serves as a heatsink, but also helps to modulate excessive thermal energy in order to protect the light’s internals for optimal performance. Following from there, the Nextorch TA30D Max is manufactured from rugged 6061-series aluminum and fitted with a titanium-alloy bezel embedded with nano-ceramic glass breakers. The entire unit is rated for an IPX8 level of dust and waterproofing. Finally, the TA30D can withstand 2-meter falls if dropped.

Nextorch TA30D Max Features:

  • 4,000 lumens maximum output
  • 450-meter (492 yards) beam distance
  • 50,625 candela
  • Ultra Thermal Buffer system
  • USB-C rechargeable 21700 battery (included)
  • IPX8 waterproof & impact resistance to 3 meters (6.5 feet)
  • MSRP: $137.99
