Cosmic clays just got even cooler thanks to Federal Cosmic 12-gauge shotshells!
If you’ve never had the chance to do cosmic clays, you’re missing out. It combines clay shooting with the blacklights of cosmic bowling to make for a very groovy night at the range. The glowing clays are already covered, but Federal just made the concept even cooler with the introduction of its new Cosmic 12-gauge shotshells.

Federal Cosmic shells are loaded with a UV-fluorescent Podium wad that will glow under blacklight as it tracks the payload in flight. The shotshells even feature the cool Cosmic alien logo in UV-fluorescent printing, so the piles of shells will be glowing around your feet nicely as well. Even the boxes glow!

More than that, they’re loaded with quality lead shot that’s ready to deliver consistent, dense patterns for breaking clays. As for the hard specs on the Cosmic 12-gauge, the load features 1⅛-ounce No. 8 shot at 1,145 fps.

Sam Motzko, Federal’s senior design engineer, said this about the new Cosmic shells:
We gave Cosmic UV creative printing on the shell and a Podium wad that fluoresces under blacklight … The graphics and neon printing on the shell and box are fun, but the UV-powered wad allows you to track the wad as it leaves your barrel. These features combine for a truly unique shooting experience.
The Federal Cosmic shotshells have an MSRP of $16.99 per 25-round box and they’re available now.
