Daniel Defense is known for exceptional rifles. But did you know they are teaming up with industry-leading manufacturers to build small batches of once-in-a-lifetime rifles? Once available, they’ll be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. While it seems almost cruel to share, one of their most interesting rifles is the Riptide. I say cruel because they are officially sold out. However, that doesn’t diminish what they have done with this collaboration.
Daniel Defense Riptide – A New Rifle in their Limited Series
Daniel Defense’s latest in the Limited Series is the new Riptide PDW. This is a Limited Series firearm built on the DD4 PDW P platform chambered in 300 Blackout, featuring a unique Sandoflauge Cerakote finish. Enhancements include premium components and an Aimpoint ACRO P-2 sight. The package consists of a tactical rifle case, cooler, custom towel, and certificate of authenticity.

Daniel Defense states, “We started with a DD4 PDW P chambered in 300 Blackout and finished it in an exclusive Sandoflauge Cerakote for a striking coastal-inspired look. We upgraded it further with a custom-coated JK Armament 155 Mega Comp LT Goat HF, Radian Raptor LT Ambidextrous Charging Handle, and Radian Talon 45/90 Lever Kit controls, an Arisaka Hand Stop, and a Timney Armorer’s Trigger.

Aimpoint ACRO
They wrapped up this build with an Aimpoint ACRO P-2 3.5 MOA (FDE) mounted with Scalarworks LEAP/03 for instant target acquisition. Lastly, we added a Lancer L5AWM in translucent Robin ‘s-egg blue for an eye-catching finishing touch.

This package also includes a Pelican V730 Vault Tactical Rifle Case (Tan), a custom Pelican 45QT Cooler (Tan), a Daniel Defense Custom Towel, a Challenge Coin, and a Certificate of Authenticity.”

Daniel Defense Riptide
The potential upside is that these guns have not simply vanished. My guess is that somebody will eventually need to part with it, and that will be an opportunity for us.
