Civivi’s Food-Focused Partake Multitool Can Literally Take the Cake

In search of an unconventional yet handy way to chow down on the holiday feast? Gaze upon the Civivi Partake, a 4-in-1 multitool built around the user’s gastronomic needs.

Just as is the case with the manifold divisions and sub-divisions in folding knife world, there are all sorts of different sub-categories cohabitating under the “multitool” genre. There are pliers-based multitools, knife-based multitools, one-piece multitools, multitools for gunsmiths, for hikers, for bikers – and there is a small but noticeable complement of food-based multitools, a complement that is growing by one in the near future.

The separate halves of the Partake

The Partake provides you with a well-rounded suite of culinary-oriented implements. There’s a fork and a spoon for the meal itself, a can opener to prep your tinned beans or peas or what-have-yous, and, last but certainly not least (especially on this site!) a small combination edge knife blade. The blade and the can opener both have notches/cutouts for opening them, whereas the spoon and fork are big enough that they can be grabbed without aid.

The frame is a washboard-style aluminum affair, with magnets to secure the two halves of the Partake together. Given this take-apart design, which allows for the use of multiple tools as once, there is no space for a  pocket clip on this thing; however, Civivi is providing a rugged-looking waxed canvas pouch for carry. The Partake, in Par-total, weighs 4.22 oz. It will be available in the near future.
