BANISH 556 – The Newest Suppressor From Silencer Central

Silencer Central has become one of the major players in the suppressor market. With an extensive line of cans, they provide pretty much anything a shooter would need. It is because of this that I was excited to hear rumors of a new suppressor on the horizon. Those rumors became true today as Silencer Central has announced the launch of a new suppressor—the BANISH 556.

BANISH 556 -Newest Suppressor in the BANISH Line

Silencer Central has now unveiled the all-new BANISH 556, the most advanced 5.56 NATO/.223 Rem. suppressor on the market. This new hard-use suppressor is tailored for full- and semi-automatic carbines and SBRs and features sophisticated controlled-flow technology to mitigate backpressure while optimizing sound and flash suppression.

“Everything we have learned about materials, manufacturing, and the dynamic movement of pressurized gas through suppressors has been leveraged in making the BANISH 556,” said Brandon Maddox, BANISH Suppressors Founder and CEO. “I challenged the design team to create a new 5.56 suppressor that offers best-in-class noise and flash reduction, low back pressure, durability for hard use – including a full-auto rating – and overall dimensions that keep it portable and suitable for use by military and law enforcement professionals, as well as armed citizens. The result is the BANISH 556, and a whole new level of performance from tactical suppressors.”

Serious Design

The BANISH 556 is made using a combination of metal additive manufacturing, similar to 3D printing, and traditional machining to seamlessly combine a stainless-steel blast chamber with an advanced Inconel body. The design maximizes the number of baffles, the volume of chambers, and incorporates a helical vent pattern to slow and redirect gas for recoil reduction and back pressure mitigation. The result is a full-auto-rated suppressor with outstanding flash and sound reduction that is exceptionally comfortable to shoot. The BANISH 556 is purpose-built for AR-pattern weapons, and there are no barrel length restrictions.
