Dead Air Silencers is stepping into the duty-use arena with the launch of Dead Air Defense, a new suppressor line engineered specifically for law enforcement and military professionals. Leading the charge is the all-new CT5P suppressor, a compact 5.56 NATO suppressor purpose-built for patrol officers running semi-automatic duty rifles.
Designed for hard-use applications, the CT5P focuses on the priorities that matter most in the field: reduced length, lightweight construction, minimized backpressure, flash suppression, sound reduction, and reduced muzzle concussion when operating in close quarters.
CT5P Suppressor: Compact, Lightweight, Fixed Adapters

The CT5P is an ultralight and compact suppressor that takes the lessons learned from the venerable Lazarus 6 and Sandman X series of suppressors to a new level. By removing the HUB feature in the rear of the suppressor and using additive manufacturing, the CT5P achieves a shorter and lighter profile.
Low Backpressure
The CT5P is optimized to flawlessly operate with minimal change in bolt velocity on direct impingement and piston gas systems in both 5.56 NATO and 6mm ARC. The Triskelion baffle design increases surface area in the main channel to slow gas down while the Gas Management System (GMS) allows high pressure gas to vent around the main channel, forward of the muzzle, to substantially reduce backpressure and gas in the operator’s face.

For patrol officers, SWAT operators, and military personnel spending long hours behind a rifle, less gas in the face means increased comfort and improved situational awareness during extended engagements.
Flash Reduction
Muzzle flash on unsuppressed rifles isn’t problematic during the day, but it hinders human vision at night. The CT5P reduces the muzzle flash and spark to a near undetectable level for 5.56 NATO-chambered rifles with barrel lengths as short as 10.5 inches, preserving the operator’s night vision.
The functional aesthetics of the CT5P allow for more surface area on the outside of the suppressor, thereby releasing more heat over time and minimizing visual light reflectivity.

Acoustic Performance

Dead Air engineered the CT5P to achieve a low overall sound pressure level and tone that is well below OSHA’s 1910.95 standard for impulse noise without substantially increasing gas in the face. Less gas and greater sound reduction are important to every operator since it provides for clearer communication and threat differentiation.
Built for Hard Use
The CT5P is constructed to withstand abuse and full-auto fire. Its overall compact and lightweight design keeps stress off the arms and shoulders during extended low-ready positions. Tested to the SOCOM SURG standard.

Caliber-rated for full auto in 5.56 NATO and 6mm ARC rifles with no minimum barrel restrictions, the CT5P weighs 13.0 ounces in its direct-thread configuration and measures 5.5 x 1.6 inches. The suppressor is available in black or FDE high-temp Cerakote finishes and includes a fixed 1/2-28 direct-thread mount and TL001 installation tool.

In addition to direct-thread mounting, the CT5P can be configured with Dead Air’s Xeno or Keymo mounting systems, giving agencies and end users flexibility across multiple rifle platforms.
