The Ruger LCP MAX has proven to be a popular, ultra-compact .380 ACP semi-automatic pistol designed primarily for deep concealment and everyday carry. It improves on older pocket models by doubling the magazine capacity and upgrading the sights while maintaining a tiny, lightweight footprint. In short, it is a comfortable and reliable gun for EDC. The one challenge faced with the LCP MAX, as well as any ultra-compact pistol, is sights. Even with the solid sights included, the short sight radius can prove to be a challenge. Now Ruger has designed a solution for this. The Ruger ReadyDot Micro Reflex Sight System.
Ruger ReadyDot Micro Reflex Sight System – Improving Accuracy
Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. has now introduced the Ruger ReadyDot for the LCP MAX pistol. The Ruger ReadyDot is designed to be an accessible, easy-to-use micro reflex sight system. The profile and shape were designed to provide visual guidance for fast target acquisition. A fiber-illuminated reticle has been specifically designed for battery-less operation at typical concealed carry pistol ranges. This creates a red dot system that is easier to acquire and stay on target, all without worrying about batteries. The use of a reflex sight like the Ruger ReadyDot allows the shooter to keep both eyes open and focus on the target, rather than the front sight.
