.50 BMG Precision Ammunition – New From Barrett Firearms

When people think about the .50 BMG round, most minds go to heavy belt-fed weapons. It is a trusted and effective round in those platforms, but has also been used in a lesser-known capacity. For decades, people have been harnessing the power of the 50 as a long-range round. In fact, it has a substantial following in the precision shooting community. With serious rifles chambered for this beast, like the McMillan TAC-50, it has proven to be an effective long-range round. Now Barrett is offering these shooters Barrett precision ammunition in .50 BMG.

.50 BMG Precision Ammunition – Long Range Performance

Barrett has announced the expansion of its Precision Ammunition line with the introduction of .50 BMG Precision Ammunition, joining the existing .416 Barrett offering. Engineered for extreme accuracy and long-range consistency, the new .50 BMG cartridge features a 660-grain MTAC projectile producing approximately 2,800 feet per second from a 32-inch barrel. Manufactured to the industry’s tightest production tolerances, Barrett Precision Ammunition utilizes hand-selected match-grade projectiles, premium primers, climate-stable powders, and precision cases to ensure exceptional consistency and performance.
