Colombia Claims U.S. Killed A “Lifelong Fisherman” During Its War Crime Civilian Boat Attacks

Colombian ruler Gustavo Petro has accused the United States of killing an innocent fisherman during what President Donald Trump described as a strike on a drug-smuggling vessel. The U.S. committed war crimes, attacking the boats and killing all on board, removing due process from civilians.

According to Petro, a Colombian “lifelong fisherman” was killed in one of the attacks that occurred on September 16th. “US government officials have committed murder and violated our sovereignty in our territorial waters. Fisherman Alejandro Carranza had no ties to drug traffickers, and his daily activity was fishing,” Petro wrote on X on Saturday.

He added that the boat was drifting due to an engine failure and sent a distress signal. “We are waiting for an explanation from the US government,” he wrote, accoridng to a report by RT.

JD Vance was unconcerned that the U.S. possibly killed innocent people, saying he didn’t “give a sh#t” if the ruling class committed war crimes.

For its part, the U.S. ruling class is doing its best to keep this under wraps and change the narrative when it needs to. This is an obvious uptick in escalation, along with an attempt to possibly foment a war with Venezuela.

Trump On Attacking Venezuela: “We’ll See What Happens”

Petro and Trump have been feuding since Colombia accused the U.S. of violating human rights over its immigration policies. He said that U.S. soldiers should defy Trump’s authoritarian commands. After that, Trump revoked Petro’s visa.

On Saturday, Trump said a Colombian national and an Ecuadorian national picked up from a “drug-carrying submarine” would be deported to their home countries “for detention and prosecution.” He said earlier that the US destroyed the vessel, killing two of the four “known narcoterrorists” on board.

Tensions are flaring with at least a few South American countries.
