Tag Precision FiberLok – Advanced Fiber Optic System

Tag Precision FiberLok – Advanced Fiber Optic System

Tag Precision’s FiberLok sights answer a common complaint with fiber optics on carry and competition pistols. Traditional fibers are bright and fast, but they can crack, slip, or fall out after hard use. FiberLok changes how the rod is secured. Instead of melting the ends or relying on friction, Tag uses a small set screw to lock the fiber in place. The result is a serviceable system that lets you replace or swap colors in minutes with the included hex key. It is a brilliant design that saves time and avoids fiber optic drama.

The sights are CNC machined from bar stock steel and has  a QPQ nitride treatment for wear and corrosion resistance. Faces are serrated to cut glare, and the rear uses a square notch that supports a clear sight picture.

The Swiss-machined fibers present a crisp dot that is easy to pick up during the draw or in transitions. That visual pop is why many shooters favor fiber over paint. The usual tradeoff is durability and field service. FiberLok solves that problem. If you shear a rod, you are not stuck with a dead front sight until you get home and a soldering iron. You back out a set screw, slide in a new rod, and tighten it down. Color changes are just as fast, which is helpful when you want green on dark backgrounds or red in bright light.

Easy Installation

Installation is easy if you are comfortable with handgun sights. You will need a standard front sight tool for brands like Glock, as well as a sight pusher or bench block and punch for the rear sight. Tag’s system adds one small step for the locking screw. Use proper torque, add a touch of blue thread locker to the threaded posts, and confirm windage before staking your setup.

On the gun, the sight picture is clean. The rear notch is not busy, which lets the front fiber do its job without clutter. For pistols equipped with red dots, the taller Optics Ready versions offer a lower one-third co-witness that does not overwhelm the window or distract from the dot. If you prefer irons only, the standard height sets are fast on steel and clear enough for accurate work at distance with a consistent hold.
