For users who require a less intense beam or want to conserve battery life, the light can be programmed to emit 500 lumens, providing 5,000 candela and a beam distance of 141 meters.

When using Streamlight’s SL-B9® USB-C rechargeable battery pack, the runtime is 30 minutes at 1,000 lumens or one hour at the reduced 500-lumen setting. The battery recharges in just 2.5 hours using a standard USB-C cable. For users who prefer disposable batteries, the TLR-7 HL-X sub USB can also be powered by a single 3-volt CR123A lithium battery, delivering up to 1.5 hours of runtime at 500 lumens.
