Israel Changing Stance On Citizens Carrying Guns In Wake Of Hamas Attack, Now Wanting To Arm As Many As Possible

When the danger is at your doorstep, it’s not the time to get ready to defend yourself. That should come before, but it didn’t in Israel. In the wake of attacks with thousands dead so far, Israel now wants as many citizens armed as possible.

Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir took to Twitter to discuss the plan:

“Today I directed the Firearms Licensing Division to go on an emergency operation, in order to allow as many citizens as possible to arm themselves,” he said in a post. “The plan will take effect within 24 hours.”

People attending a festival unfortunately learned first-hand what being unarmed truly means, as this is the moment the attack began. Running for their lives from gunmen literally raining from the sky, not all made it to safety.

This is why we fight for our 2nd Amendment.
